Greater Changhua is divided into 4 parts which form Taiwan’s largest wind power complex.
The wind farm is owned by Ørsted and will use the SG 8.0-167 DD turbines of Siemens Gamesa. TCC is responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the two onshore substations. Our client Van Oord is responsible for the cable installation.
The Greater Changhua offshore wind farm will be built 35 to 60 kilometres off the coast of Changhua County, Taiwan. Once fully operational, it will generate 2.4GW through 112 wind turbines.
